Anthony Bastic

Chief Executive Officer – AGB Events

As an international event designer, Anthony’s extensive creative talents have brought some of the world’s most inspiring event experiences to life. Light is often at the heart of his visual storytelling, which captivates and unites diverse communities.

Since founding AGB Events, Anthony has conceived and produced a multitude of successful events in Australia and internationally, including The Australian Garden Show Sydney, the Lights of Christmas in Sydney and the Lights of Boston, iLight Marina Bay, and Vivid Sydney.  Anthony is the Curator of Light for Vivid Sydney and has been directing the Vivid Light walk since its inception.  Anthony also created the annual Lights of Christmas projections – a three-week, evening celebration of the essence of Christmas – another public event that regularly breaks attendance records and is now firmly part of a Christmas tradition for Sydneysiders and visitors.

Before establishing AGB Events, Anthony held many positions in the Events and creative industry including Public Programs Manager – Sydney Opera House from 1997-2000, Creative Director – Sydney 2000 Olympics Live Sites, Creative Director – City Festivities for the 2003 Rugby World Cup, Event Director – 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, responsible for the planning and management of the Royal Visits, Cultural Programs Manager – Centennial Parklands and Protocol and Events Manager – Sydney City Council.

Todd Severson

Chief Operating Officer – AGB Events

With over 20 years of international event experience, Todd has an outstanding track record of 10 Olympic Games, G8 and G20 meetings, Commonwealth Games, Sundance Film Festival, and other events with global reach. Most recently he was Director of Games Services with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Todd specialises in integrating operations and systems across the multiple business areas that are the hallmark of major events. This includes project planning, mobilisation of significant workforce teams, logistics, and client-focused services. He also boasts a track record in developing winning proposals that he intends to build with AGB Events.

As Chief Operating Officer, Todd is responsible for business operations, sales and project acquisition, financial oversight, event project management, and HR and team leadership.  Todd will spearhead the commercial delivery of a slate of event projects as AGB Events expands its export of cutting edge creative and cultural event concepts around the world.

Tara Davies

General Manager
Tara works closely across the business and financial elements of AGB Events ensuring effective processes and operations are undertaken by the AGB Events team and projects. From the initial concept, financial and human resource management, project development to exploring new business opportunities, Tara is across every detail to make sure projects and events are delivered to the brief and over-deliver on client, sponsor and audiences expectation.

Giles Westley

Giles Westley
Artistic Director
Giles Westley is a large-scale lighting creative projection artist with a background in architecture, photography, film, design and lighting, Giles draws on a diverse skillset to deliver concepts that are creatively brilliant and technically perfect – right down to the last pixel.

Leading a team of design, animation and 3D mapping experts, Giles uses visual symbolism, metaphor, and sound to create narratives that cross cultural and language divides, bringing unity and understanding to each of his projects.

Giles believes these opportunities should not just ‘wow’ people but enrich their understanding and appreciation as well.

Sam Elphick

Project Director
Sam has 20 years experience working across creative, production, operations and logistics for major international events through to bespoke media previews, outdoor events and immersive brand experiences.

Whether taking the lead or just delivering an aspect of an event/project, Sam leaves and breaths the philosophy that inspiring creative must be supported by truly sound operational and production methodology, pulling together the right team for the client, fulfilling the right roles and the right projects.

Having worked in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, the Middle East, Israel, Canada and Brazil, Sam has worked on two Commonwealth Games, two Olympics, G8 and G20 as well as immersive experiences such as a pop-up cocktail tasting experience in a five storey Georgian townhouse in Fitzrovia London.

Jasmin Rather

Production Co-ordinator
Jasmin is a graduate of one of Sydney’s leading Creative Industries Colleges, majoring in Entertainment Business Management. With a passion for art and public events Jasmin provides a personalised approach to AGB’s clients, artists and suppliers, dedicating her growing range of skills to the production, event management and creative services.

Jasmin has played a key role in the delivery of Vivid Light 2015 & 2016, the world’s largest light festival, as well as Lights of Christmas 2015. Jasmin used this experience and knowledge and led the production team in successfully delivering the first light festival in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, entitled Parrtjima – A Festival in Light this past September.

Gina Tyler

Gina has extensive experience and knowledge of corporate and small business accounting management as well as the particulars of event accounting. As the head of the accounts department, Gina is an integral part of our team and is critical in the planning and delivery of all of our projects.

Ruth Morton

Event Manager
Ruth has 20 years of experience delivering events in the corporate, sporting and entertainment spheres including 13 years working with the National Rugby League’s (NRL) events team

Whether it is a bespoke corporate dinner for 20 guests or a televised event with an audience of millions, Ruth continues to be a collaborative freelance consultant, who enjoys the challenge of delivering events that exceed the clients’ expectations.

Ashleigh Chapple

Project Assistant
Ashleigh has joined the AGB team as Project Assistant, providing administrative and technical support to make sure that projects are completed in time. Ashleigh’s multitasking, communication and organisational skills make her a key asset to our team.

Prior to joining AGB, Ashleigh worked within the corporate event space for seven years, going on to compete her diploma of Business majoring in Events Management and now in the process of completing her Bachelors in Events Management.
