Anthony Bastic is a global leader in event innovation.
Anthony’s acute understanding of what an audience is seeking and his ability to conceive and deliver events that exceed expectation is unequalled. From initial concept to ongoing internationally recognised events, Anthony has bought to life numerous events in several countries.
The Vivid Sydney Light Walk was conceived in 2009 and has grown to become one of the most successful annual public events on the Sydney calendar. Anthony also created the annual Lights of Christmas projections – a two week long, evening celebration of the essence of Christmas – another public event that regularly breaks attendance records and is now firmly part of a Christmas tradition for Sydneysiders and visitors.
Before establishing AGB Events, Anthony held many positions in the Events and creative industry including Public Programs Manager for the Sydney Opera House from 1997-2000, Creative Director for the Sydney 2000 Olympics Live Sites, Creative Director, City Festivities for the 2003 Rugby World Cup, Event Director 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, responsible for the planning and management of the Royal Visits, Cultural Programs Manager Centennial Parklands and Protocol and Events Manager, Sydney City Council.
With over 20 years of international event experience, Todd has an outstanding track record of 10 Olympic Games, G8 and G20 meetings, Commonwealth Games, Sundance Film Festival, and other events with global reach. Most recently he was Director of Games Services with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Todd specialises in integrating operations and systems across the multiple business areas that are the hallmark of major events. This includes project planning, mobilisation of significant workforce teams, logistics, and client-focused services. He also boasts a track record in developing winning proposals that he intends to build with AGB Events.
As Chief Operating Officer, Todd is responsible for business operations, sales and project acquisition, financial oversight, event project management, and HR and team leadership. Todd will spearhead the commercial delivery of a slate of event projects as AGB Events expands its export of cutting edge creative and cultural event concepts around the world.
Leading a team of design, animation and 3D mapping experts, Giles uses visual symbolism, metaphor, and sound to create narratives that cross cultural and language divides, bringing unity and understanding to each of his projects.
Giles believes these opportunities should not just ‘wow’ people but enrich their understanding and appreciation as well.
Jasmin has played a key role in the delivery of Vivid Light 2015 & 2016, the world’s largest light festival, as well as Lights of Christmas 2015. Jasmin used this experience and knowledge and led the production team in successfully delivering the first light festival in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, entitled Parrtjima – A Festival in Light this past September.
